SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY STATEMENTS

St. Joseph’s School has a set of philosophy statements that articulates the principles, beliefs, and core values of our educational program.

Educational Programs & Policies

Accreditation

St. Joseph Catholic School is accredited by the Minnesota Nonpublic School Accrediting Association (MNSAA) and annual reports are submitted to this agency in order to meet association standards. The School Strategic Plan can be viewed here.

Curriculum

Curriculum outcomes at

St. Joseph's Catholic School follows the curriculum outcomes of the Diocese of Duluth.  These outcomes can be viewed here.

Instruction

Instruction is the process of delivering the school’s curriculum to students. Teachers help students learn and enable them to develop meaningful use of concepts and skills. The teachers also foster the development of attitudes, understanding, and values by students. The teachers establish an environment, the accessibility to resources, and the facilitation of experiences that support all learners in constructing and exhibiting knowledge.

Academic Progress

Throughout the school year, progress is evaluated on an on-going basis through assignments and projects, teacher observation, subject area testing, and aptitude test scores (NWEA).
