SUMMARY: The Computer instructor is responsible for teaching students in grade K-6 foundational
technology skills in alignment with the school’s academic goals and Catholic values. The
instructor will integrate digital literacy, responsible internet use, and basic computer
programming, while supporting classroom teachers in using technology effectively.
The computer instructor is responsible for overseeing the set-up, scheduling and monitoring of
MAP testing three times a year working with the school secretary, principal, and classroom
teachers.

CONTEXT: A Catholic school exists to help fulfill the evangelical/educational mission of Christ’s Church as
defined by the mission of the Diocese of Duluth. This position assists the school to meet this
primary purpose of Catholic education. This position is an extension of the Bishop’s ministry.
The incumbent must have a willingness and the ability to support the Mission of the Universal
and Local Roman Catholic Church.​

SUMMARY: The Physical Education instructor promotes the development of healthy, active lifestyles in
students from preschool through 6th grade. The instructor designs and implements a curriculum
that supports physical skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship that utilize the state,
national, and diocesan standards. In addition, the physical education instructor needs to manage
classroom behavior of students and communicate with grade-level teachers and school principal
about the lessons in the classroom.
A physical education instructor must visibly model the values and principles of the faith through
assisting in facilitating a learning environment that is positive, affirming, peaceful, growth-
oriented, and faith-filled while providing respect for the dignity of all persons within the faith
community. Assists with the school’s curriculum with methodology that promotes achievement,
positive interaction, and the development of the Gospel and Church values inherent to Catholic
education. Must adhere to school policies in a manner that is reflective of the values, practices,
teachings and standards of fairness implicit to Catholic institutions.

PRE-SCHOOL EXTENDED CARE AIDE | Part-Time

SUMMARY: The extended care aide is responsible for supporting the extended care facilitator. An aide mayreinforce the instructions given in the room. This may include going over guidelines with
students individually, answering questions, or working with small groups. An aide may be asked
to supervise the students outside of the classroom on the playground, during bathroom breaks, at
lunch time and on field trips. When class is not in session, an aide might assist by performing
clerical duties and preparing activities. An aide helps with the integration of technology into the
classroom such as helping set up computers and assisting students using the computers. An aide
may also organize the classroom and put supplies in order. On occasion, when a facilitator is not
present, the aide may take the lead for the day's activities.
