Mrs. Dick is a dedicated music educator with a passion for nurturing young talent and fostering a deep appreciation for music among her students. With eight years of teaching experience at St. Joseph’s, she brings her musical talents and enthusiasm to her role as the K-6 music teacher.

Mrs. Dick holds a bachelor’s degree in K-6 Elementary Education from Creighton University, where she pursued double majors in Theology and Music. Her background in piano and theology complements her teaching approach, allowing her to integrate musical education with spiritual development.

At St. Joseph’s, Mrs. Dick plays a pivotal role in coordinating the weekly children’s mass, where she encourages student participation and showcases their musical talents. She is committed to incorporating liturgical elements into her music classes, fostering a deeper
connection between music education and worship.

Throughout the school year, Mrs. Dick organizes various musical events and performances, including the school Christmas program, choir performances by grades 4-6, the “Living Stations of the Cross” presented by sixth graders, and the “Living Rosary” performed by grades 3-6. Additionally, she leads choir service trips to assisted living facilities, providing students with opportunities to share their musical gifts with the community.

In her classes, Mrs. Dick guides students through the fundamentals of music theory, choral singing, and instrumental instruction. Curriculum highlights include fourth graders learning to play recorders and fifth graders learning to play ukuleles, offering students a diverse range
of musical experiences.
