Mrs. Vitelli (or, as some students call her, Coach Vitelli) brings a lifelong passion for athletics to her role as Physical Education teacher at St. Joseph’s Catholic School. As a child, she dreamed of becoming a PE teacher and spent her early years playing a wide range of sports.
Mrs. Vitelli is also a licensed psychologist, a career she truly values, and is excited to combine her professional skills with her enthusiasm for movement, health, and personal growth.

Mrs. Vitelli earned her undergraduate degree in Sports Studies before choosing to pursue her doctorate in psychology. She owns and operates a private psychology practice in Nashwauk.

Originally from St. Paul, Mrs. Vitelli and her husband moved to northern Minnesota in 2011 after she completed her postdoctoral training in Hibbing. They quickly grew to appreciate the quiet and natural beauty the area offers. After the birth of their first child, they settled in Grand Rapids and now spend as much time as possible enjoying Pokegama Lake. Her children attend St. Joseph’s, making this role especially meaningful as she deepens her involvement in the school and parish community she loves.
